But I like browsing the “show us your garage” forum posts on rennlist and Bimmerpost in the meantime; any other good ones out there? Above photos I’m saving in a folder for inspiration when I have enough money to build my dream garage.

Tell me about it! I’ve been working on my boat in the driveway, but even now it’s 39F and 10-20mph winds.

I keep telling myself, “if it was nice out, I’d be wishing I was IN the boat, not working on it. But I could do with 40 and sunny without the wind. I’m not asking too much am I?

Our garage plans were coming together, then some land came up for sale adjacent to ours. That was January. And now... who knows when.

If I had the money, there are so many garages and house I’d love to build.

I have a garage, but it is crafting project space now. My next house I’m definitely building a huge man cave / garage.

I’m afraid the pics are no longer hosted, but there was an amazing thread on garagejournal about a huge, beautifully finished garage called the “Bunker”, that had a home theater hidden underneath it.  The stairs to the HT were hidden behind a Coke vending machine!

They make sense. You can park over them, straddle them to make better use of the space, your not having to feather the throttle to get up or over a lip.

I especially like the recessed single or double post lifts.

I’d still want to be able to recess and cover the arms for when not in use.

Only problem with those is that you can’t fit a car underneath them.

I have a former co-worker who now works here as kind of a curator for this private collection. Part of his job is ensuring everything gets driven regularly , talk about dream jobs! Fun fact: a bunch of these cars provided the original reference material for a number of cars that went into the Forza video game series (the owner is Jon Shirley an original Microsoft head honcho.)

I wouldn’t want one underneath, it’d be a working bay.

For detailing I’d want full unhindered access to all the panels, arches, underside so I could polish, etc... the lower edges at a more comfortable angle.

Yep, meanwhile I see people around here with three car garages using them as storage, and one boring Lexus SUV sitting outside.

How about garage boat? I think I used to have a file of garages but it probably upset me and I deleted it, I can’t find it.
